Marie Berry Wilson, aged 90, died peacefully on December 5th, 2017 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS of natural causes. Marie was born on April 19th, 1927 in Houlka, MS to Abril Marshall Berry and Louiza Matilda Holmes. She was the youngest daughter of ten (three brothers and six sisters).

Services will be Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with one hour visitation prior to the service. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Patrick C. Wilson and one great-grandson Brandon S. McKissack.

Marie is survived by her daughter Gloria Yarbrough Grealish (Patrick) and four grandchildren, Michael Bryant McKissack, Jonathan McKissack (Linda) and Suzanne Clark (Russell), Danny McKissack; Nine great-grandchildren; Six great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marie was devoted to her Heavenly Father, church, and family that she loved dearly.

She was a faithful, lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many church jobs at the Hattiesburg ward and stake level. She was a music director for Hattiesburg First Ward. She also taught for the Young Women’s Programs, Sunday School, and Primary Children.

She also had a calling as a Stake Genealogy Librarian and was responsible for the training of ward genealogy workers. She assisted members and non-members with genealogy work at the Stake Center. She loved helping people find their ancestral roots and her own lineage has been traced back to the fifteen hundreds.

And Ohhh how she loved those garage sales.
