The Taylorsville Board of Aldermen addressed a brief agenda on October 6, 2011, at their first Thursday meeting.

Following the regular monthly business of approving the miniutes from the September meeting and the claims docket, the board voted unanimously on a special order to pay ACT Paving and Construction $2500 for resurfacing the walking track and repairing a hole in the parking lot at the ballpark.

Mayor Rosalyn Glenn told the board that work on energy efficient measures at the Taylorsville Public Library would begin this week, beginning with the light fixtures. This work will be done through an Energy Grant obtained by the Town.

The board approved the date of October 31, from 5-7 p.m. as the official Trick or Treat time for Taylorsville.

The board went into executive session to discuss personnel.
